Gordy Bonker just landed the biggest deal in vintage card live selling. Bonkers Cards LIVE is moving to eBay Live as an official weekly show. Every Sunday night. Curated vintage Hall of Fame inventory. Broadcast to the largest online marketplace on the planet.

Sports Illustrated broke the news today. eBay confirmed it.

From Financial Services to eBay's Vintage Card Anchor

Bonker left a financial services recruitment consulting gig in late 2023 to build Bonkers Cards full-time. In under three years, he's brokered six-figure Mickey Mantle transactions, moved a complete 1952 Topps Master set for $300,000, and built a following across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Now eBay is giving him a dedicated weekly slot on their live-selling platform. The show will focus on graded Hall of Fame baseball cards from the 1909 to 1970s era. Cards featuring Mantle, Hank Aaron, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente. Price range: $50 to $50,000 per card.

Why eBay Wants Creators on Live

eBay Live has been expanding aggressively. The platform launched in the US in 2024, added the UK in mid-2025, Germany in late 2025, and Canada in February 2026. eBay's market cap has climbed over 30% in the past year, with trading card games and collectibles driving a significant chunk of that growth.

The US livestream shopping market hit an estimated $50 billion. eBay says live selling conversion rates run ten times higher than conventional e-commerce. That math explains why they're signing creators.

Jay Holanda, eBay's Head of Business Development, said Bonker brings "an unmatched combination of deep hobby knowledge, premium vintage inventory, and authentic creator-led storytelling."

The Whatnot Comparison

The timing matters. Whatnot controls roughly 60% of the Western live shopping market and processed over $8 billion in live GMV in 2025. eBay is the incumbent marketplace with 134 million active buyers but arrived late to live selling.

Signing a trusted vintage dealer with an established audience is eBay's way of saying they're serious about competing in the format.

Bonker isn't a random influencer. He's a dealer who moves real inventory at real prices. That's what separates a live selling show from a content play.

What to Watch

Bonkers Cards LIVE on eBay starts weekly on Sunday nights. The show puts premium vintage inventory in front of eBay's massive buyer base.

For Bonker, it's distribution at a scale no social platform can match. For eBay, it's proof that live selling can work for high-end collectibles, not just $1 card breaks.

The hobby built live selling. Now the biggest marketplace is building around the hobby.
